Jeremiah Jorgensen, PT
Jeremiah and Kari opened Center for Spine and Sport Rehab February 2007. Jeremiah has 14 yrs experience working in outpatient orthopedics. The initial 4 yrs were in Arizona alongside some of the the best orthopedic manual therapists in the country before returning to Nebraska. His home town is Minden.
He completed his Residency in orthopaedic manual physical therapy from The Ola Grimsby Institute which is an extensive postgraduate curriculum and clinical training for extremity and spinal orthopaedic manual physical therapy.
Jeremiah is currently pursuing his post graduate DPT in manual therapy. Certifications include Voila Level 1, Functional Dry needling from Kinetacore Level 1, ASTYM Certification Upper and Lower extremities, and certified in the treatment of Neuropathy. He is a consultant for Neuropathy DR program as a clinical specialist and adjunct instructor.
Kari Jorgensen, PT, COMT
Kari grew up on a farm in eastern Iowa. She received her BA in biology with a Biomedical emphasis and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999. She ran cross-country and track for the Panthers for four years. She received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa in 2002. Kari moved to Kingman, Arizona where she was lead physical therapist of the neurological rehabilitation unit at Kingman Regional Medical Center. She was trained in level 1 neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) in 2002. She moved to Prescott, Arizona a year later and worked in several settings including pediatrics, aquatics, geriatrics, skilled nursing, long term care, and outpatient orthopaedics. Kari had the opportunity to work alongside some phenomenal manual physical therapists while in Arizona and she pursued her passion of manual therapy. She earned her Certification in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (COMT) in 2010.
Kari and her husband, Jeremiah, moved to Lincoln, NE in 2006 and founded the Center for Spine and Sport Rehab in 2007. Kari and Jeremiah have worked hard to provide the highest quality of physical therapy services. Kari was certified in Functional dry needling and Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) in 2013. Kari and Jeremiah have two sons, Rian age 8 and Gavin age 3. Kari enjoys spending time with her boys, fishing, playing sports, running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Danna Smith PT, DPT, COMT, CSCS
Danna Smith is a licensed Physical Therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of South Dakota in 2011. Danna is a native of Spearfish, South Dakota and received her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Black Hills State University in 2008. Danna is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the Ola Grimsby Institute, Dry Needling Certified, and Level 1 certified in Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT). Danna is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is certified in FMS screening and corrective exercise.
Danna has lived in Lincoln for the last three years and enjoys Husker athletics, playing sports, and kayaking in her spare time.
Jessica Woodward, PT, DPT
Jessica started with CSSR in 2013. She is a Nebraska native, born in Cozad, Nebraska where she was raised on a farm. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated there in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Spanish. She then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2013. Jessica has completed her Level 1 with Neurokinetic Therapy and is certified through Sole Supports for custom orthotic fittings. Starting in January of 2015 she is going to be starting a yearlong course for her Orthopedic Manual Therapy certification. Jessica is married and enjoys playing volleyball, being active outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
